Corowa-Rutherglen-Chiltern-Beechworth
Approx 200km return, 2.5hrs driving
- Visit one of 20 wineries in the Rutherglen Wine region - renowned for its sticky fortified wines and fruity Durifs.
- New to town is Corowa Whisky & Chocolate. Located in the old flour mill; hear the story, make a chocolate freckle, taste the whiskey.
- Historic Chiltern has its own hidden treasures. Nearby Mt Pilot National Park has ancient aboriginal artworks abled to be viewed after a short walk.
- Another chance for a short walk awaits at Woolshed Falls.
- Plenty to see and do in historic Beechworth, enough to make it a trip in its self. However if time is getting on and you don't think cooking dinner on your return home is an option, you will find a good variety of dining options here. Several pubs including Bridge Road Brewery, a chinese restaurant through to fine dining at a two chef hats restaurant Provenance.
